Honestly compared
You have already tried most of these.
An agency does nearly everything on this list, and we have marked it that way. The question is not whether the alternatives work — it is what they cost you in money and in evenings.

Prices are typical US market rates for a single-location business as of 2026, not quotes. Half marks mean the tool can do it with enough setup or enough of your time.
You have tried ChatGPT. It does not know your shop.
It writes a caption when you ask for one. It does not know that Tuesday mornings are your quiet slot, that the place down the road just started doing $6 lunch, or that you sold out of the almond croissants again. Ringsy is holding the whole file on your business and deciding what to do next with it.
You have tried a scheduler. It waits for you to feed it.
Buffer and Hootsuite are excellent at posting things. Neither one has ever decided what to post. The blank calendar is still yours to fill, which is the part that actually takes the evening.
You have tried a freelancer. They also need managing.
Someone good costs $500 a month and still needs a brief, photos, approvals and chasing. Ringsy needs four facts on day one and thirty seconds a post after that — and it does not go quiet in August.
FAQ
What owners ask us before they sign up.
Including the ones where the answer is “not yet.” If yours is not here, email the founders.
Not unless you ask it to. By default every post waits in your queue until you tap Approve. If you would rather not be the bottleneck, you can switch on the 18-hour fallback per location, and anything you have not looked at goes out on schedule — you can still reject it any time before the timer runs out.
On Starter, up to 5 finished posts a week — about 20 a month. Each one is published to every platform you have connected, and it counts as one post, not one per network. Growth raises that to about 30 a month for each location you run.
Ringsy reads your website, your logo and your existing posts during setup, and you set the tone in plain words — warm, plain-spoken, no exclamation marks, whatever fits. Every draft is then scored against that voice before it reaches you, and anything that drifts gets flagged. You can also ban specific words and phrases outright.
Yes. Rewrite the caption, regenerate the hook, swap the image or reject it entirely. Edits are unlimited on every plan, and the agent learns from what you change.
No. Ringsy generates most of its own imagery and video — the dish, the room, the b-roll — in your brand colours. Uploading what you already have on your phone still helps a lot though: you can keep up to 50 photos and clips per location, and Ringsy reaches for yours before it makes anything new.
Only the ones you upload. Anything Ringsy generates is representative rather than documentary — a generated plate of pasta is a good-looking plate of pasta, not a photograph of the one you serve. That is fine for atmosphere, seasonal and general-awareness posts. For anything selling a specific dish, treatment, room or property, upload the real photo and Ringsy will build the post around it.
It depends on your trade, and you can override it. A gym reel is built around people in motion because an empty room does not sell a class; a dental practice is set to keep people out of frame entirely, and cosmetic surgery further still. Generated video is adults-only everywhere with no exception, and generated children only ever appear for a short, individually reviewed list of education businesses — never for preschools, daycares or private schools. If you want your own team on camera instead, say so and that beats the default.
Yes. Setup pulls your logo and your colours straight off your website, and you can override both. Everything Ringsy renders uses them.
Ten: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads, X (Twitter) and Bluesky. Connect as many as you want — one approval publishes to all of them, reformatted for each.
Not yet, and we would rather say so. Ringsy publishes posts to your Google Business Profile, which is the one that turns local searches into directions and phone calls, but it does not read or reply to your reviews today. That is on the roadmap and it is the request we hear most from dentists and restaurants.
Today you do it by editing the posts in your queue, or by updating your brand brief so the next plan reflects it — there is no box yet for "we are shut on the 14th" or "push the Mother's Day set menu." It is the top item on our list, and if it is a dealbreaker for you, email us and say so.
No — that is who this is built for. You answer four questions about your business, and Ringsy does the planning, the writing, the design and the scheduling. The weekly brief tells you what worked in plain English, with no dashboards to learn.
Every draft is checked against a restricted-claims list for your trade before it reaches your queue, on top of any words you ban yourself. Nothing publishes without passing that check and, unless you turn on the fallback, without your tap as well. You are still the one responsible for what goes out under your name, which is exactly why the approval step is the default.
Yes, to start the 7-day trial — but you are not charged until day 8 and you can cancel in one click before then. Your first three posts are generated for your business before you connect a single social account, so you can judge the output early.
Anything already published stays on your accounts and belongs to you — Ringsy posts to your channels, it does not host them. You can export your media library, and we disconnect our access to every social account at cancellation. Scheduled posts that have not gone out are cancelled with the subscription.
ChatGPT writes a caption when you ask for one; Canva makes an image when you design one. Neither decides what to post on a quiet Tuesday, watches the shop down the road, reformats for nine other networks, publishes on a schedule, or reads last month's results and changes next month's plan. Ringsy is the whole loop, and you are only in it for 30 seconds a post.
Yes. Each location gets its own brand profile, its own social accounts, its own competitors and its own queue, all under one login and one bill. Growth includes two, and each one after that is $99 a month.
Only as anonymised aggregates, and only above a threshold of five contributing businesses per trade-and-city slice, so nothing can be traced back to you. Your captions, your logo, your photos and your customer data never leave your account. You can opt any location out at any time and keep using everything else.
